Birchwood Preschool offers outstanding education and care for children aged from two years old, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day, 48 weeks per year.
The modern purpose built Preschool was erected in 2002 and is an integral part of Birchwood nursery school and is line managed by the Headteacher.
We employ highly qualified, dedicated practitioners who are committed to ensuring your child has the best possible start in life. All key persons have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification and are regularly supported by the teaching staff in the Nursery.
The Preschool consists of three rooms, organised into curriculum areas and a redesigned outside area which is used daily.
Inside and outside children can be physical, imaginative and inquisitive. They can explore and investigate, or they can be quiet and contemplative
Children can access the Preschool independently, or as part of a seamless provision of nursery education within one establishment.
Fee Paying Places
Children can attend our Preschool from their 2nd birthday. We offer morning sessions from 9.00 – 12.00 or an afternoon session from 1.00 – 4.00. We are very flexible and also offer full day sessions.
We also can provide a breakfast session from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., a lunch time session from 12-1 p.m. and a tea time session from 4 – 5/ 6 p.m.
You can choose the number of sessions you would like your child to attend, though we do advise a minimum of two, which enables your child to get to know the setting, the routines and the staff.
Our Preschool can accept childcare vouchers and 2 and 3 year old free funding.
Please see our Session Fees page for all our prices
